The New WP FeedBack & The Importance of Community

roivitopeleg WP FeedBack News

We’ve been working on something very special for the last few months and are extremely proud to finally announce its release. But first, I want to take a moment to discuss the importance of community particularly in WordPress as well as how becoming a part of it has changed my life completely.

Don’t worry, this isn’t random – it ties directly into the “new” WP FeedBack announcement and why we’re making this change, so let’s dive right in. 🏊‍♂️

The Open Source Community

WordPress has been open-source from the very beginning.

You can download the original files and do crazy custom stuff, completely break it, even create your own version – you name it, whatever you want.

Naturally, this attracted a certain type of person, a person who is all about interacting with others, sharing what they’ve found or created. All with the hope that it will benefit someone else, not just themselves.

This is why there are over 50,000 WordPress plugins at the time of writing. It goes without saying that a lot of it also has to do with profiting off of the huge market share that the WordPress ecosystem has, we know that, but many of them are just something simple that help 33% of the internet do what they love online.

For those that don’t know, before WP FeedBack, I owned a website design and development agency that only worked with WordPress. I had no idea there was a thriving community that welcomed anyone who is interested in with open arms.

When I became a product maker through, I began telling people about WP FeedBack to get the word out. This started by joining different Facebook groups, getting invited to a few Slack Workspaces, going on a couple of podcasts and so forth.

Anyone who thinks you need to be well-known or have connections to get these opportunities – breaking news: you really don’t.

If you have a good idea and know-how to sell yourself in social situations (i.e. don’t just spam people), you’ll be welcomed with open arms. Once you’re on someone’s blog, you’re good to go and that’s the beauty of WordPress.

The Problem With Community

Now that we’ve been doing this for almost a year, I’m a part of so many different groups, social networks, and platforms that it’s actually difficult to keep up.

I’ve got Facebook Groups for all of the plugins that I like to use, Slack conversations with 100s of different people, Skype notifications coming through, WhatsApp groups and chats, Twitter DMs, Instagram updates, LinkedIn messages. The list goes on. And it’s not the first time I’ve heard this, everyone is getting tired of now having one central place they can communicate with everyone in the WordPress industry.

So, what if all of these were in one place?

One place where I could sign up and instantly connect with every type of person within the WordPress industry. I could join groups where like-minded people hang out or even create my own groups. A place where all content from the best blogs and YouTube channels are posting their stuff, making it easy for me to find the content I actually want to consume.

Introducing The All-New WP FeedBack

Overall, it goes without saying that this mess is not ideal. Some might go as far to say that you’re not consuming content, you’re letting it consume you. So, by now, some of you will already have a pretty good idea of where we’re going with this!

Today, we’re proud to introduce the all-new WP FeedBack.

It’s time for us to give back to the community.

The WP FeedBack plugin as you know it today will now be known as WP FeedBack PRO. So, for those of you that are already using WP FeedBack PRO to redefine your web design feedback experience for clients and your agency, nothing is changing for you today, but you are also more than welcome to join the WP FeedBack Community if you want to network with like-minded individuals and agency owners.

WP FeedBack itself is now the leading WordPress Community & Feedback Platform

So What Does This Really Mean?

WP FeedBack is now a completely free platform that makes it easy to collect feedback from professionals, learn with like-minded individuals and grow your business.

The Core Groups

A huge part of the new WP FeedBack is also the communities that live within the new platform. We highly recommend not only joining the ones which you want to learn from but also the ones you think you can contribute to.

There are groups on everything from running an agency, SEO & marketing all the way to other important aspects of WordPress like security.

Here’s a list of all of the core groups, in no particular order:

  1. Productivity and Project Management
  2. Websites As A Service
  3. Recurring Revenue Buildup
  4. The Agency Game
  5. Product Makers
  6. SEO & Marketing
  7. WordPress News & Innovations
  8. Side Hustling WP
  9. Freelancer’s World

  12. Dev Ops

Yep, there are a lot. But finally, everything is in one place

One platform to centralize the entire community.

And your new source of news as well as, most importantly, your design feedback.

Another added benefit is that every member of the community also receives access to an all-new perfect place to test-drive WordPress and your favorite plugins in a sandbox…
